Client Q&A with Cleverley + Associates

Jamie Cleverley, President

Question: What was most important to you in your search for space?

Answer: Our firm started in 2000 as a healthcare data analytics and consulting company. Today, data analytics are our foundation but our consulting services drive revenue. A big part of our corporate identity is the phrase “we’re all about relationships.” Our team has vast experience with understanding complex relationships within healthcare data and we’re also blessed to have really incredible, authentic, and down-to-earth relationships with each other and our clients.

As we started to evaluate our office space needs, we knew we wanted to encourage the growth of these relationships. Specifically, we wanted space for our team to have quiet areas to focus and also dynamic areas to collaborate with each other and our clients. We’re also a family-owned company and wanted our space to feel comfortable enough to support a family atmosphere. That meant having some kitchen and living room spaces that felt a bit more like home to complement some of the professional spaces that are important for certain meetings. As with many in the office market today, we also wanted to provide our team with access to a vibrant mixed-use environment for getting outside of the office for a meal, shopping, healthcare appointment, or a workout.

Question: What hurdles were presented during your search?

Answer: Our search for space actually predates the pandemic and we have been especially grateful for the support that Matt Gregory and NAI Ohio Equities has provided along the way – even as the way we worked changed and our needs changed a bit, too. Prior to the pandemic we were fully in-office, five days per week. We’re now in a hybrid environment providing some flexibility for remote work through the week, while still ensuring we have time to continue to invest in the relationships that are vital to our business. This change, though, did impact our space needs and underscored the importance of creating new space that could rival “home.” We wanted to be sure that coming into our new space presented advantages and opportunities compared with a home-office. Our business is located in Worthington and we ideally wanted to stay in the area. There were nuances to that office market that Matt had incredible experience with and ultimately helped lead us to a dynamic, new commercial/retail development at Worthington Gateway.

Question: How do you see this space contributing to creating the culture you are striving for?

Answer: Overall, we really believe our new space checks all the boxes we were looking for: modern space in a dynamic area that provides attractive environments for multiple types of work and relationship-building. We’re excited about collaborating in the new space and view this as an investment to ensure the relationships that are the lifeblood of our organization have the opportunity to continue to grow well into the future!
